PILLOWS

What you see is what I‘m interested in: Pillows, blankets, tents, caves, their shape, function and meaning. Trees, birds, predators and people sleep at those places.
They find calm and safety on the pillows. Fears and worries are hiding under the pillows.

Lenia Hauser (*1989, Remscheid) studied illustration in the class of ATAK at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, she lives and works in Berlin and Halle.
Her work process consists of paintings, objects and monothematic artist books.
She deals with the basis of human conditions and searchs for a personal interpretation and attention to general, rarely questioned terms.

Was du siehst, ist was mich interessiert: Kissen, Decken, Zelte, Höhlen, ihre Form, Funktion und Bedeutung. An diesen Orten schlafen Vögel, Raubtiere und Menschen.
Auf dem Kissen finden sie Geborgenheit und Ruhe. Unter dem Kissen verstecken sich ihre Ängste und Sorgen.
